"Never for an instant forget the effort to renew your life, to build yourself anew. Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway of life itself. This is not an easy task. Indeed, it may be the most severely challenging struggle there is. For opening the door to your own life is in the end more difficult than opening the door to all the mysteries of the universe." - Daisaku Ikeda
I learned how to make jewelry from my late grandmother. In the late 80s and 90s, we made necklaces and bracelets together. Back then, fashion was all about hematite and freshwater pearls; there was hardly any mixing of different stones.
I now have the ability to design using a variety of stones in different colors, shapes, and sizes. I enjoy working with gemstones and creating my jewelry, and juzu feels like conversing with the stones. I have to listen to the gemstones to combine the right ones, and they create harmonious pieces filled with positive energy.
All of my jewelry and prayer beads are crafted with the utmost care as if they were my own. I meticulously seek out unique gemstones and exceptional deals, some of which are no longer available due to their one-of-a-kind nature. It is my intention to provide individuals with distinct sets of beads that cannot be replicated. My goal is for my juzu beads to motivate people to chant more and find joy in their practice.
I specialize in creating unique juzu beads and jewelry sets without replicating designs. While I welcome custom requests, I do not duplicate existing designs from other artisans.
Jewelry-making brings me joy, relaxes me, and makes me feel closer to my grandmother. It's like sitting beside her again, stringing beads, listening to music, and chitchatting.
I made Juzu prayer beads because I wanted gemstone Juzu for my chanting practice. I meticulously design my Juzu beads to mirror the layout of the original SGI Juzu beads. Moreover, I provide repair services, as I recognize that many individuals inadvertently break their beads while chanting. I can repair various types of Juzu beads, including standard plastic, glass, crystal, wooden, and gemstone beads. For Nichiren Buddhists, prioritizing sustainability and recycling is paramount. Therefore, I replace lost plastic beads with glass beads, as I'm committed to minimizing plastic production and promoting environmentally friendly alternatives.
